About the Company
The Breckenridge Nordic Center is a chance to get away from it all and experience the joy of gliding across snow through quiet, beautiful forests with expansive views of the mountains surrounding Breckenridge.
It’s a great place to get outdoors and enjoy time with family and friends. Whatever your ability or athletic levels are, you can tailor your time to create what you feel like doing in the moment. Whether it’s cross country skiing, or snowshoeing, you can spend as little as an hour out on the trails or all day by choosing the distance and terrain you’d like to explore.
If you’re new to Nordic Cross Country Skiing and feel like you’d like to have a lesson, our professional instructors will get you quickly up to speed. We also have Snowshoe Adventure Tours and Snowcat Adventure Tours available by reservation.
Our trail area covers over 1,400 acres of enchanting forest with soaring mountain views, yet you won’t have to drive far to find us. We’re just a minute from Downtown Breckenridge and the Free Ski and Ride Shuttle stops at our front door.
When you arrive at the Lodge, you can rent or purchase all your equipment needs. If you already have your gear, just purchase a Day or Season pass and you’re ready to hit the trails.
We start children skiing with Step-In Skis when they can walk. Younger ones may be pulled by child “pulk” sleds. The sleds glide well over packed snow and are fully covered, insulated and ventilated.
After a day’s adventure on our freshly groomed trails, take time to unwind in our beautiful lodge. We have delicious food and drink specials and you can bask in the warmth of our large stone fireplace in our family style lounge area.
Nordic Package : Ski Rental & Trail Pass
This rental package includes Nordic skis, poles, Nordic boots and a trail pass. Basic equipment can be upgraded to performance equipment based on availability. Children’s pulk (pull behind) sleds can be rented in person to accommodate our smallest participants. We have plenty of sleds available. Onsite Equipment must be returned by 4:00PM.
A trail pass is required to utilize the Breckenridge Nordic Center trail system and is not included in rental prices.
Cancellation
Payments are 50% refundable if cancelled 2-5 days prior to the reservation. The non-refundable portion is retained as store credit for up to one year and may be used towards rentals, trail passes, tours and lessons.
Payments are non-refundable if tour/lesson is cancelled within 24 hours of the reservation time. Booking fees are non-refundable and are not considered part of the above policies.
Snowshoe Package : Snowshoes & Trail Pass

This package includes snowshoes, poles and a trail pass. Winter boots are recommended. Children’s pulk (pull behind) sleds can be rented in person to accommodate our smallest participants. We have plenty of sleds available.

Group Nordic Ski Lesson

Learn to ski with our experienced, kind and patient staff. A lesson is truly the best way to start skiing and get the most enjoyment out of cross country skiing. A group lesson is also a great way to meet people on your skill level and find a ski buddy for another day. Children under 13 must be in semi private lessons. Please call if anyone in your group is under 13.
Rentals are not included in the lesson fee. Be sure to add 1 nordic ski rental to the cart per person from the related items below.

Nordic Ski Rentals

All Ski Rental packages include skis, poles and ski boots. Skis and snowshoes are exchangeable for $10 after 1 PM based on availability.
Basic classic rental packages can be upgraded for skate or performance at the front desk based on availability.
Our rental department carries only hi-quality modern equipment in great condition and we custom fit everyone. We also rent Junior/childrens gear and child “Pulk” sleds so everyone can get in on the fun. You’re never too young to start!
Before your Adventure, we’ll expertly fit your gear to create a seamless cross-country or snow shoe experience. You’ll have the exact fit and equipment for exploring our miles of beautiful trails and backcountry.

Full-Season Rentals
Missing Price
The Youth rental program at the Breckenridge Nordic Center is designed for any kids 15 and under for seasonal rental of non-performance or jr equipment. Adult skate equipment and adult combi boots are not part of the trade up program but may be available for purchase.
Equipment may be rented Anytime in the summer or fall (summer by appointment only). All equipment must be returned by early April. (if equipment is not returned by mid-June, the child will automatically be enrolled for the next season.
Should a child outgrow equipment, the equipment may be traded in for correct sizes at no charge at any point during the season as long as equipment is in stock. The Breckenridge Nordic Center reserves the right to refuse a size exchange if adequate equipment stock is not available to maintain daily equipment rental needs.
Kids Classic Nordic Ski Package
$130 + $40 damage deposit
Available for Shoe Sizes US Junior Size 1 through US Junior Size 6
Includes classic skis, boots and poles. Combi boots are not an option with this package
Kids Skate Package
$180 + $40 Damage Deposit
Available for Shoe Sizes US Junior Size 1 through US Junior Size 6
Includes skate skis, combi or skate boots (classic boots may be substituted if the child’s shoe size is too small for skate boots) and skate length poles. If skate poles and or skate boots are not available in the child's size, the cost may be reduced by $10 for poles and $15 for boots.
Kids Combi Package
$285 + $40 Damage Deposit
Available for Shoe Sizes US Junior Size 1 through US Junior Size 6
Includes skate skis, skate poles, classic skis and classic poles and combi boots. This package is for one pair of boots only. If the child is too small for combi boots or skate poles, classic boots and classic poles may be submitted at price reductions of $10 for poles and $15 for boots.
$40 Damage Deposit
Damage deposit is collected at check out under, "Additional Fees". The damage deposit is refunded when equipment is returned and return condition witin expected wear & tear.
Backcountry Rental Package
Missing Price
24 Hour Rental for a back country nordic kit complete with metal edges, skis, boots, and poles.
Pickup available between 9am and 4pm, and return 24 hours later.
This rental does not include a trail pass or lift ticket. These skis are intended to be used offsite.
Private Nordic Ski Lesson
from $50
Private Lessons must be booked over the phone or in person. Please call (970) 453-6855 to book your private cross country ski lesson.
The absolute best way to learn how to ski. A private lesson is completely customized for you and will move at your pace. Already an advanced skier? Improve your skill and technique with one of our upper level instructors.
Looking for a group private? You can add familiy and friends to your private lesson at $75 per person.
Rentals are not included in the lesson fee. You can add them when you call or pay for them when you arrive and our exellent staff will help you choose just the right equipment.

Trail Passes
from $25
Daily Trail Pass for the Breckenridge Nordic Center in Breckenridge, Co. This pass grants Skiers and Snowshoers access to the groomed Nordic trail system with set tracks for traditional classic style skiing and skate lanes for freestyle Nordic skiing while snowshoers enjoy use of well-marked and mapped singletrack trails. Be sure to add any needed rental equipment to your cart before checking out.
Trail Passes are $30 per day for ages 13-64 and $25 for Seniors 65+. Kids 12 and under ski/snowshoe free and will only need to pay for rentals.
Multi Day Passes may be shared but must be used over multiple days. They are good at Multiple nordic centers throughout the county but must be picked up at the Breckenridge Nordic Center when purchased online.
Dogs must stay on trails designated as Dog Friendly Trails and MUST be leashed at all times.
