Private Nordic Ski Lesson

My coworker and I had a fantastic skate ski lesson experience with Gary. He was so helpful helping us get the hang of things and truly moving at our pace. We were grateful for his kindness and patience while we figured out the ropes! We would recommend Gary and the Breck Nordic Center to anyone we know.

My wife and I had a private lesson with Andy. He was amazing!! We just started back country touring after 30 years of alpine skiing and needed some pointers. Andy was so helpful and patient. He gave us a few simple things to work on and that did the trick. We went out on our own the next day and had a blast! Thanks Andy and the Breckenridge Nordic Center team. You are the BEST!!

Had a great time at our Skate Ski lesson with Jerry. He was super helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend. We have a bunch of new skills to practice now. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to get into skate skiing. Everyone at the Breckenridge Nordic Center is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. You should check it out.

We visited over Christmas 2021. Gerry was our instructor for our family (5) private lesson. we were at different levels but he managed to find the perfect balance in teaching and had a profoundly patient way of conveying information that helped us all to gain confidence during the lesson. I could not recommend an instructor more highly. We will definitely request him in the future.

We had a fantastic time. We brought our 5 young children who had never skied before and the youngest of whom was really uncooperative at first. Mariana got the rest of the kids outfitted so smoothly while I was dealing with the angry toddler. Jim and Aubrey were amazingly accommodating and patient with us. It is also really affordable for a big family. We will definitely be back!

This is the second skate ski lesson I had with Jerry, the first being last year. Great lesson! Jerry worked on my timing and technique that were not immediately there-understatement. After trying a few different suggestions, it ultimately clicked. The problem is having the time to get out there and get in some mileage. It's great when an instructor has enough different tacks to try because different ones work for different skiers. Really enjoyable and fun. My husband and I and friends have been coming up for years and I finally decided to attempt something new and different. There definitely is a learning curve and even a natural athlete and strong downhill skier needs instruction and the Nordic Center is the place to do that with excellent instructors and wonderful ambiance.

We went snowshoeing one day. Gary gave us good pointers on areas to go that were a little more advanced and we did not see anyone. The area was beautiful. The next day we had a private XC lesson with Mariana. We loved her. We have been downhill skiers and wanted to try something new. We will definitely be back in a couple of weeks to practice what we learned, improve and take another lesson next year. The Breck Nordic Center is beautiful and the people that work there are great. We recommend Mariana.

First time for my family of 4 to try cross country skiing-it was amazing. Mr. Jim made it fun and accessible for ages 10-48 with no experience to a double diamond downhill skier. What a joy! Beautiful facility, smooth & easy equipment process and Mr. Jim is just a treasure!!! Thank you for such a great memory!

Classic Nordic skiing lesson for my wife and I with Jim yesterday- he was very patient and gave us the tools to enjoy skiing the rest of the day after our lesson - we will definitely be back !!!

I took classic cross country ski lessons with Gary and recommend him - 100%. Having never skied before, I’m as beginner as you can get. Gary put me at ease right away with his understanding of the terrain and trails, and his laid back personality. He coached me through a progression of confidence, safety and skills building activities and was supportive throughout. And wow - his stories about “close encounters” with moose and elk were hilarious. . He was great company, a knowing guide, and an expert teacher. So fun!
