Horseback Riding

American Safari Ranch and our Wrangler, Wes, just do an outstanding job! Thanks Wes for the great ride. The scenery is unbeatable, and the wide open terrain gives the rider a great feeling of freedom. We woke up to mountain snow in June, but ended up with a clear ride and weather that couldn't be beat. We;ll be back for the three hour ride.

We had a beautiful ride, true Colorado experience to ride over open range and through aspen groves. The horses are well taken care of and the staff is polite and works to be sure you have a great experience. Would highly recommend.

We had an absolute blast with Ella. All of the staff were extremely friendly and were very helpful with us and our kiddos. They made the kids feel at ease and the ride was VERY enjoyable. Beautiful scenery and outstanding weather only made the experience even more enjoyable. We will be back when we are back in the area for sure. Love this place.

The ride and the guides were great. However the reservation "system" and the other activities on the ranch were not available. We had called to see what was available and were told that while other riders were out children and their adults could go to the petting zoo, have food at the restaurant and go to the gift shop. When asked where the restaurant was, my guest were told that it wasn't happening this year. As I said, the ride and the guide were lovely. I will look somewhere else for my next ride.

We went out last week with... yeah, him... the guy from Kaufman, Texas. I forgot his name! Anyway, my husband really didn't want to go. He's only had bad experiences on horses. And we have two girls, ages 8 and 11. Everyone was matched up with horses they could handle. I had the best horse ever! Phoenix and I got along great! At the end of the two hour tour, even my husband said he had a good time. The girls wanted to go back again later in the week! A hundred times better than the nose-to-tail ride we did in Breckenridge two years ago!

Hoss is an amazing trail guide, we had an ADVENTURE! One of the best trail rides I have ever had, the horses were all amazing and aren’t lazy horses and all well taken care of! It was a picturesque ride and I loved every minute of it, bring your friends and get Hoss with you and you will not regret it!

My mom and I did the one and a half hour horseback ride on New Year’s Eve. It was an incredible experience. The trail was great, there was a beautiful scenic view the whole time, the horses were amazing, and our tour guide ensured our safety and made the experience unforgettable. Thank you much!
