Spring what?

The Five best things to do in Breckenridge during spring

Things to do in Breckenridge

Breckenridge is an iconic destination in the US and across the globe recognized for its world-class skiing and high mountain ranges, so what happens when you visit and the snow has gone? Breckenridge has a ton of other fun activities to do in the summer and it's certainly become a world-class year-round destination at this point in time.

#1 First on the list is rafting! Rafting in Browns Canyon is a local favorite and essentially everybody's favorite! A half day is plenty of time on the river and generally comes out to a few hours. It starts slow and gradually picks up until you find yourself in the heart of it all at the end of the trip.

#2 Sticking with the rafting trend we're going to take a look at another favorite which is the Blue River Trip. Pros are that this trip is very close to Breckenridge, it's family friendly and the scenery is out of this world. The one con to this trip is that the time on the water is a little short so avid rafters may want a more intense longer experience.

#3 Moving away from the fast-moving(or slower) white water we're going to take a look at one of the other great activities of summer. Zip lining is one for the more adventures as it involves being harnessed in and sent along a fast-moving cable generally more than 25ft off the ground!

#4 Take a spin with Breckenridge Bike Tours and go on a fat bike beer and distillery tour. The tour starts off on the south end of Breckenridge at a store called Ridden. You hop on a high-end fat bike, receive instruction on how to ride and then it begins. You ride along the backside of the main street along the blue river rec path and get cool information on how the town was originally started. You then ride out to the Breck Distillery and Broken compass brewery where you will enjoy some drinks. The best part about this ride is that it's downhill on the way there...and you get a ride back! Drink up!

#5 Take a hike! Breckenridge offers a number of fun and accessible hikes that are an inexpensive way to see the beauty that Breckenridge has to offer. Boreas pass and the Burro Trail are easier to access & hike, while Mt. Quandary our local 14,000 plus mountain offers even an experienced hiker a challenge. Be sure to leave early as weather can roll in!
